At the meeting, held on the request of the Serbian Party, the Parties dwelled on the issues concerning self-declaration of independence of Kosovo. Thus, the Parties discussed the Appeal of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Ukraine regarding the said issue.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary informed the Committee Chairman of the attitude of the Serbian Party to self-declaration of independence of Kosovo. He stated that "Serbia does not recognize the said act, since it fails to comply with the Constitution of Serbia and international legal acts". Goran Aleksic emphasized that "Serbia will protect its rights only by peaceful, diplomatic, legal means". He also believes that "self-declaration of independence of Kosovo can destabilize situation in the entire region".
During the meeting Oleh Bilorus also stated that the world community is to acknowledge the Holodomor in Ukraine during Stalin´s regime "as a deliberate attempt to exterminate Ukrainian peasantry, not as a natural calamity".
